By Dairyland Seed Agronomy Team

As we begin the close of the 2025 crop year, we are compiling the year-end report for our Product and Agronomy Research (PAR) projects. Each year we investigate key production concepts you may be interested in as a crop producer. By design, we phase in a few new trials, continue or modify others, and phase others out. Again, these trials are all based on suggestions from you and our sales team.

  • Look for continued and updated reports on corn foliar fungicide use and micro-nutrient use in soybean production.
  • Sclerotinia White mold is yet another soybean production concern, and we continue to investigate best management practices to mitigate its impact.
  • New for 2025 is a look at a couple interesting production concepts. One is skip row planting of corn and the other is the viability of processed poultry manure.
  • Silage management is also crucial to many of our customers. Using various trials, we scrutinized corn silage components (such as whole plant, ear only, stalk only and leaves only) as it relates to silage quality and its translation to milk production per acre of our Dairyland silage products.

Watch for these and other trials coming in January -- perfect reading for those chilly winter nights!
