General Manager
Joe Houser is Dairyland Seed's General Manager and is responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for Dairyland and overseeing daily operations across all departments. He joined the team at the beginning of 2025.
Joe grew up in the seed industry in central Iowa and is a graduate of Iowa State University, with a degree in Agricultural Business. He has been with Corteva for 12 years holding various roles across North America in sales, production, digital, and marketing. He has a passion for farmer success and his diverse background paired with demonstrated seed leadership makes him an excellent fit at Dairyland Seed.
Joe currently resides in Cedarburg, Wisconsin with his wife, Mary, and their two daughters. Outside of work, Joe enjoys traveling with friends and family, cheering on the Cyclones and Packers, and spending time outdoors on the lake or in the woods.

Sales Leader
Boyd Hoffmann, Sales Leader, is responsible for managing the sales of Dairyland Seed through its dealer network in the upper Midwest. He currently holds a seat on the Dairyland Seed Leadership Team and has worked for the company since 2006 as both a District Manager and Regional Manager.
With 30+ years of seed sales experience, Boyd previously worked for Croplan Genetics and Pioneer Hi-Bred, before joining the Dairyland Seed Team. He also has experience as a Crop Production Specialist and a Certified Custom Applicator.
Boyd was born and raised on a dairy/grain farm in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from UW-River Falls, with a Minor in Agronomy. He currently resides in Oostburg, WI with his wife Laura. Together they have three adult children and four grandchildren.

Operations Leader
Kim Mayne serves as Operations Leader for Dairyland Seed. He has full responsibility over all hybrid seed corn inventory and quality assurance. He also serves as Chairman of the Supply Chain committee and is the site leader at the Mount Hope operations facility. Kim is a member of Dairyland Seed’s Leadership Team.
Kim joined Dairyland Seed the warehouse staff in 1981 and since that time has served in a variety of roles from Warehouse and Shipping Manager, District Sales Manager and Corn Production Manager.
He began his career in the seed industry in 1973 working for Kussmaul Hybrids, in Mt. Hope, WI and served as warehouse manager, conditioning room supervisor and distribution manager in addition to various district sales manager responsibilities.
Kim and his wife Tanya reside in Mt. Hope, Wisconsin.

Product Portfolio and Agronomy Leader
Ryan Mueller is the Product Portfolio and Agronomy Leader for Dairyland Seed. His primary responsibilities include corn hybrid evaluation and recommendations, but he is also involved with marketing and the corn production plan. Ryan also oversees the Dairyland Agronomy Team and works to provide strategic direction on field sales support and product education.
Ryan has been with Dairyland Seed since 1995 and has been involved in product development and selection for much of his career working in both research and most recently with the commercial side of our business over the past 10 years. While in research, Ryan was instrumental in the development of Dairyland’s highly successful HiDF corn silage research program. He also established Dairyland’s HiDF on-farm strip plot testing program.
Ryan is a Wisconsin native and currently resides in Beloit, Wisconsin with his wife Tammy and two sons. He received his B.A. degrees in History and Psychology from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI.

Financial Services and Accounts Payable Lead
Denise Stahl is the Senior Accountant for Dairyland Seed and serves on its Leadership Team. She leads our financial services department and the accounts payable group. Her main duties include reporting on and analyzing sales and expenses, calculating commissions, and providing monthly financial reports.
A Dairyland Seed employee for more than 30 years, Denise is well-equipped to help Dairyland Seed employees, dealers and customers. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She started her career with Dairyland Seed as an accounts payable associate and worked her way up to her current position. Her favorite part of her job is delivering actionable information to people and seeing the dollars and cents align.
In her spare time, Denise likes to spend time outside with her family. They enjoy watching their kids’ and grandchildren’s activities, going for walks with their dog and rooting for Wisconsin professional sports teams like the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Denise lives in Kewaskum, WI with her husband John. Together, they have four children, three grandchildren and a dog named Baylee.

Sales Effectiveness Manager
Tye Scott is the Sales Effectiveness Manager for Dairyland Seed. In his role, he is focused on helping dealers and sales managers through strategic business planning and identifying future growth opportunities. He assists the sales team by developing plans for earning new customers and evaluating potential new dealerships.
Tye’s ag career began as a District Sales Manager in 2015 for Wensman Seeds after graduating from North Dakota State University with a degree in Crop and Weed Sciences. He moved to Corteva beginning in 2017, when he joined Pioneer as an Account Manager in South Dakota. In 2020, he transitioned to become a District Sales Manager for Dairyland Seed in South-Central Minnesota before moving into his current role in 2025. His roots in agriculture run deep. He grew up detasseling corn at a Pioneer research station and visiting extended family on their farm in South Dakota.
Residing near Mankato, Minnesota, Tye enjoys spending time with his wife, Abby, and their three daughters. He is an avid outdoorsman whose hobbies include camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking. He has also been a volunteer soccer coach and remains passionate about the sport.

Barry Sutton joined Dairyland Seed in December 2002. As the Central Region Sales Manager of the territories in eastern Iowa, northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of his sales force, which includes budgeting, market forecasting and asset allocations. Barry holds a degree in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois. A life-long resident of Illinois, Barry resides in rural La Moille with his wife and two children.

Bill Martin is the Regional Sales Manager for Dairyland Seed’s Eastern Region, covering Michigan and northern Indiana. Bill works closely with his team of District Sales Managers to lead a network of Dealers to promote sales. His responsibilities include sales support, leadership, product allocation and placement, along with budget control. Bill enjoys farming with his family, raising beef, corn, soybeans, alfalfa and wheat in central Michigan where he was born and raised on a family dairy farm. Agriculture is a passion of his and he enjoys sharing that with his children hoping to pass on a legacy of farming heritage and upbringing. Bill is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BSA in AgriBusiness Management with a minor in Dairy Management. He and his wife Dawn have four children all at home. Bill and Dawn reside in Pewamo, Michigan.

Lynn Hammes, Dairyland Seed’s Western Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales in the western region consisting of Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota. Lynn works closely with the District Sales Managers, dealers and customers and is responsible for the growth and development of the sales team while implementing crop planning, sales programs and customer service.
Lynn joined Dairyland Seed in 2018. He graduated from Upper Iowa University with a bachelors in Business Administration. Lynn was born and raised on a grain/livestock farm in southeast Iowa.
Lynn, his wife Christine, and two daughters reside in Montezuma, Iowa.

TJ Strachota serves as a Regional Sales Manager for Dairyland Seed. TJ is responsible for sales in Dairyland Seed’s Northern Region. He works directly with the District Sales Managers, dealers and customers in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Dairyland Seed was started by TJ’s great-grandfather in 1907, and TJ became a fourth generation active family member when he joined in 2004. He grew up around the business, and worked part time during high school and as an intern during college.
TJ is a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
TJ and his wife Katie have five children and reside in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

Chad Staudinger is the Regional Agronomist for Dairyland Seed’s Northern Region. As a Regional Agronomist, Chad partners with Dairyland Seed’s customers and sales teams to understand their needs and provide timely communication of product and agronomic information. Chad joined Dairyland Seed as a District Sales Manager in Wisconsin in 2004, providing seed products and services to customers in Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Green Lake, Waushara, Marquette and Adams counties. Chad transitioned into the role of Forage Product Manager, where he helped develop and maintain the on-farm strip trial product testing program. He also designed and implemented a strategy to stimulate interest and purchases in Dairyland Seed’s silage products, specifically HiDF corn silage. Most recently, Chad served as a Regional Manager in Dairyland Seed’s Northern Region, working directly with the district managers, dealers and customers in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in dairy science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he specialized in dairy nutrition. He is a member of the Midwest Forage Association, the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association, the Wisconsin Soybean Association and the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.

Dan Ritter is the Regional Agronomist for Dairyland Seed’s Central Region, covering southern Wisconsin, northwest and southeast Indiana, northern Illinois and northeast Iowa. His main role is to assist the sales force in maintaining and growing the Dairyland Seed business through agronomic information and service.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Farm Management (1991) and a Master’s degree in Agronomy (2000) from Purdue University. Dan’s work experience includes over 30 years in the ag industry, including a Weed Science Research Associate at Purdue University, an agricultural extension agent and various agronomy roles in the seed industry.
Dan resides in Northwest Indiana where he was raised on the families diversified grain and livestock farm. Dan is married to Kristi and they have three daughters and a son.

Amanda Goffnett is a Regional Agronomist for the Eastern Region. Her primary responsibilities include providing agronomic services for District Sales Managers, customers, dealers and prospects. Additionally, she is involved with product advancements and product training.
Amanda joined Dairyland Seed in 2021. She received her Bachelor of Science in Crop and Soil Sciences with a specialization in Agribusiness Management from Michigan State University in 2012. In 2015 she earned her Master of Science in Crop and Soil Sciences and became a Certified Crop Advisor soon after. Amanda spent five years as the Customer Agronomist supporting the Mycogen Seeds brand. During her time as a Customer Agronomist, she provided agronomic support and recommendations to growers, dealers and sales representatives across Michigan. Amanda was also heavily involved with on-farm plot work and product management.
Amanda was raised on a small family farm in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, where she still farms with her dad today. When she’s not in the field she enjoys hiking, kayaking and fishing in Northern Michigan.

Mark Gibson is a Regional Agronomist for the Eastern Region. His primary responsibilities include providing agronomic services for District Sales Managers, customers, dealers and prospects. Additionally, he is involved with product advancements and product training.
Mark joined Dairyland Seed in 2021. Mark served four years in the United States Marine Corps before earning a bachelor’s degree in Soil and Crop Management from Purdue University. Mark is a Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg) and Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). He has spent his career working in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio as a sales agronomist and in ag retail for a small, family-owned seed company.
Mark and his wife, Kristine reside in Convoy, OH, with their children Henry, Jillian and Bridget. Mark is also an active member in his local American Legion Post Color Guard.

Brian Weller is the Regional Agronomist for Dairyland Seed's Western Region, covering Minnesota, North and South Dakota. He grew up in southern Minnesota working for area farmers and researchers. His research activities were in soils and weed science in both the public and private sectors. Prior to coming to Dairyland Seed, Brian was a Lead Agronomist for Land O'Lakes and Central Farm Service for 24 years.
As a Regional Agronomist, Brian partners with Dairyland Seed's Agronomy and Sales teams to help provide timely agronomic support and information about products and growing conditions to farmers. His background on the farm, research and agronomy retail provide experiences to help farmers with many aspects of their operation.
Brian holds degrees in Crop Production and Agricultural Education from the University of Minnesota. He is very active in his local community and serves on several boards. Brian lives in Waseca, Min. with his wife Lori and their two sons.
