Dr. Paul Sun is a 25-year veteran at Dairyland Seed Co., currently serving as vice president of research and as a member of the company's board of directors. Dr. Sun has more than 35 years of experience in plant breeding. Since joining the company, he has led Dairyland's team of 12 planters in product and technology development programs for alfalfa, soybeans and corn. He has authored five patents for Dairyland Seed. One of his recent major research accomplishments was the successful development of the patented msSUNSTRA® Hybrid Alfalfa Technology and the release of the World's First Hybrid Alfalfa, HybriForce400.

Dr. Sun is a member of the National Alfalfa Variety Certification Review board, and past president of IDEALS, a U.S./Chinese association of agricultural scientists. He has also served on a United Nations-sponsored mission to China to explore their increased need for corn development programs.

Dr. Sun received his M.S. and Ph.D. in plant breeding and plant genetics from the University of Wisconson-Madison.
