John is a third generation member of Strachotas involved in Dairyland Seed. After graduating in 1980 with a degree in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame, John joined the company in 1982. He has held various areas of responsibility, currently serving as Vice-President of Quality Assurance. In this role, John oversees all areas of seed quality as they pertain to corn, soybeans, and alfalfa seed as well as other forages the company sells.

John is a member of Dairyland’s six member Executive Committee. This committee is responsible for discussing various company financial, marketing and policy issues on a regular basis. John is also a member of Dairyland’s 8-person Board of Directors. This Board meets on a quarterly basis to review the company’s financial status and strategic issues that arise. In addition, John is a member of the Wisconsin Farm Progress Shows’ Board of Directors where he serves in an advisory capacity.

Agricultural travel for John has taken him throughout the United States as well as Argentina, Chile and China.

John resides in Hubertus, Wisconsin.
