"After putting in a test plot of Dairyland Seed’s hybrid alfalfa, we immediately saw a tremendous tonnage increase. It does so well for us, it’s all we plant."

“The first crop was delayed due to weather.  It was in the flower stage.  HybriForce-420/Wet had a RFV of 145 and the Pioneer and Americas alfalfa ran about 105.   The hybrid has a finer stem than the competitor variety.”

"I like HybriForce because of quick regrowth, fine stems and amount of leaves on each plant.  Gives extra hay to sell!"

"Hybrid gives us a very consistent yield which is nice to know.  We can count on hybrid to have plenty of feed on hand."

"Hybrid is a more even stand than the competition which gives us a more consistent feed quality.  The hybrid holds up very well to our four-cut system."

“I use Dairyland Seed alfalfa because it is the best. I get more tonnage and Dairyland has better wet varieties. It also lasts longer as most alfalfas are done in three years and Dairyland alfalfa lasts for four years. Next year I am planning on using all Dairyland alfalfa. HybriForce is the best.”

"I planted a 30-acre field of HybriForce-400 spring of 2003. Several other varieties were planted on my farm and in the spring of 2005, the HybriForce-400 survived and the others were plowed out. The first crop gave me a good yield and it increased in yield after every cut.  The forage quality of the fourth cut was a RFV of 197 and the fifth cut was RFV of 260."

“We do a lot of custom work for a number of large dairies in the area. Over the years, we’ve planted a lot of different alfalfa varieties trying to find products that are high quality, high yielding, and consistent. HybriForce-420/Wet gives us the tonnage and quality we need and also allows us to push our cutting schedules without injury to the stand. I recommend Dairyland alfalfa to everyone we work with.”

"The spring-planted stand of HybriForce-400 yielded 7.5 tons per acre and all four cuttings went over 200 RFV. The second and third years' tonnage went over 10 tons per acre each year with average RFV values of 185-190.

"The HybriForce-420/Wet is yielding 6.68 tons per acre over the first three cuts in 2006. There are two more cuts to harvest. I am expecting this stand of HybriForce-420/Wet to yield over 11 tons per acre. The first cut had a RFV of 189 and second 185. The stand of HybrForce-420/Wet was under water twice and it showed more stand loss.

"My yield goal on my farm is to achieve 15 tons per acre."

"My customer planted HybriForce-400 spring of 2005. He plants 200 acres annually. He noticed HybriForce-400 definitely had the largest windrow on the fourth (October) cut than the other varieties. He noticed the difference from the seat of his self-propelled chopper."

“I’ve been growing Dairyland Seed for a long time. I used to grow all Magnum V, but now I grow HybriForce-420/Wet. Seed quality from Dairyland Seed and germination is always excellent. The service from Dairyland Seed is also very good. I called once to have seed delivered and it was here within two hours.”

“Dairyland Seed has good products. I especially like their alfalfa products. Dairyland Seed’s alfalfa is as good as any competitor or better. The quality of service and seed from Dairyland Seed is good. My seed is always delivered on time.”

“Dairyland Seed understands our climate. I am looking for consistency and that is what I get from Dairyland Seed. The seedlings on HybriForce alfalfa just look great this year. If you don’t have good feed and genetics you won’t be able to produce as much milk. We have been able to maintain 100+ tank average for several years, peaking at 112 pounds per cow in May of this year. We do this while feeding a 67/33 feed ratio of forage to grain ration.  Dairyland has been able to provide us with consistency from bag to bag, year to year.”

"Hybrid alfalfa is doing great. It always comes out first thing in the spring. I get six or seven tons per acre per year. I’ve never had any winter kill with Dairyland Seed alfalfa. It is really super.”

"My hybrid trial is in the fourth production year. The forage yield got better as the stands get older. When HybriForce-400 is growing in the spring, I can see that it is about 4-6” taller than varieties planted next to it."

Bruce Schneider

Venedy, Illinois

"During the growing season of 2005, the first crop harvest was the first week of May. The hybrids (HybriForce-400 and HybriForce-420/Wet) outyielded the nonhybrids by 17 percent. Between the first and second crop we received only 8/10" of rain. The hybrids out yielded the nonhybrid by 9 percent. Between the second and third cutting, we received only 2/10" of rain and the hybrids out yielded the nonhybrids by 20 percent. This indicates the hybrids have very good drought tolerance. During the drought, the hybrid stands were visibly thicker and still vegetative while the nonhybrids were blooming at 6-8" tall."

“I grow 100 percent Dairyland Seed. The HybriForce-400 has real good tonnage. Dairyland Seed has the best seed in the country for the best area in the nation. Two years ago I tried six bags of Pioneer and it was harder on the cows to digest and it took longer to dry. Dairyland just stands better. I can’t complain on price and I like how there are always nice friendly people to work with.”

"Pioneer gave me free alfalfa bags of 54V46. I told him I couldn’t come out ahead even it it’s free. After spraying off the cover crop (oats), the Pioneer was slow to regrow whereas the HybriForce-400 took off and was taller and competing better with a companion crop. The HybriForce-400 outyielded the Pioneer 54V46 by .86 tons of first year production – three cuttings, spring-seeded."

“We grow alfalfa on irrigated sand ground, and we’ve noticed the HybriForce-400 has increased our tonnage and quality. Finer stem, faster drying time, and its durability to withstand heavy equipment and harsh Wisconsin winters.”

“I’ve used 100 percent Dairyland Seed for 30 years. My favorite product is the Hybriforce-400. I have always liked the products from Dairyland Seed. Service is also great. If I want 50 bags of seed, it’ll be here tomorrow morning. I’ve never had an alfalfa last only a year or two. I always get three to four years and this year I have three different fields with fifth year alfalfa.”

Dan Stoffel

“I use 100 percent Dairyland Seed. HybriForce alfalfa is worth every penny I pay for it. At times I can even get a fifth year out of it. It is also consistently good in all sorts of weather conditions. My seed has always been delivered on time and has been accurate to my order.”

“Dairyland Seed stands by their products. I really like their alfalfa and I am looking forward to their second generation hybrid alfalfa. This is only my second year with Dairyland Seed and I have never had yields like this before. There is nothing compared to Dairyland Seed.”

“Dairyland Seed keeps improving over the years. They’ve made themselves competitive and I hope they stay that way. I would not have stayed with Dairyland if there were problems. I am a Magnum-V and Magnum-VI believer. The two work better here. I really like the Strachota family. I have been able to go to Tom with problems and get solutions from him.”
